Call Me Moses
"Not knowing who you are leaves you open to being manipulated by those who love and hate you..."
- J. Moses Harper

“…Call her Moses, yes, but also call her inspirational..."
- William Fredrick Cooper, bestselling author of, "There’s Always a Reason".
“J. Moses Harper provides a raw and poetic account of her life, sketching vivid images that draw anguish from your soul and swiftly replaces it with empowerment. Her journey of being seized by physical and verbal abuse, the powerlessness of family addiction, the frustration of loneliness and choosing to break the cycle into freedom, is stirring. Her faith in GOD provided strength to survive her personal hell and create a voice through the influence of education and performance. In all the lessons learned, the greatest of all is to just hold on. Not only for those who are victims of cruelty but all of us who struggle underneath the weight of our baggage. Moses rises and unselfishly takes us with her, soothingly healing her wounds without malice or bitterness. Forgiving of her abuser’s plight and not harboring hate, her firm grip to accept herself and move forward is encouraging. The story of the child she was tears at the heart. Beautifully and purposefully written, this memoir will not leave you. It challenges you to do better so we all can be better.”
- Shanequa Green, NYC Educator

Wesley House Book 1:
Remington and Charmaine
When young people are willing to work together to make change happen, it can be a beautiful thing.
For Charmaine Wesley, (advocate for community development), and her best friend Remington Strutford, (multifaceted, radical, lesbian), working together for the greater good is a way of life.
Just days away from graduating high school, Charmaine and Remington are called upon to combine their greatest strengths to help the most vulnerable when tragic events occur. The experience helps solidify their commitment to becoming solutions to issues plaguing society.
Weeks away from starting new lives at different colleges they face the hardest decision of their lives. They must choose to hold onto a friendship they cherish above all else, or risk it all by revealing their secret, unresolved feelings for each other.
